I will cover the basics of how the protocol works and then dive into various ways to use XMPP. How would you write a bot? How about a scalable bot? What do components do and how do you write one? I'll talk about integrating XMPP with Web applications via BOSH and the basics of Pubsub which is powering open microblogging sites like Identi.ca.

Jack's a great speaker -- I heard him talk about Chesspark at the XMPP summit, totally engaging. Looking forward to a good discussion of this really crucial part of next-generation infrastructure.
