- An introduction to the SXSW event 2 years ago by Event Planner Cary Caldwell + a subsequent chance encounter with online community legend Kris Krug at SXSW 2008 were enough to kick start a chain reaction of inspiration for Christchurch, New Zealand based ‘creative’ Jolene Parker. Upon returning to New Zealand Jolene set about making change happen. Within 2 months her co founder Mark was on the mission to set up a simple community blog as the beginning of a larger creative community concept. Putting the unity back in community. Creativesoulchristchurch.com challenges Christchurch "creatives" to extend beyond their small community, gain skills + return to enrich the community with this knowledge. It is also becoming a real world community with small events being hosted regularly. Creativesoulchirstchurch.com is hoping to host a breakthrough Australasian event with Kris Krug + the Raincity Studios team in 2009.
