2008 marked the year of the first Twitter from inside the Oval Office. As more and more politicians dive into the world of Social Media, the way we communicate and interact with our local and national representatives is changing. This panel will explore and discuss the impact of tools like Twitter, Qik, Utterz, Ustream, and more on current and future elections.

I will definitely attend this panel. It is certainly timely given the backdrop of the election. Erica offers great insight and has been working with several politicians in the social media space; so she knows what she is talking about.

This looks really interesting - as the candidates are using more social media tools this is something that's going to have a huge impact. Looking forward to it.

After the great success of C-Span's Convention Hub, I'm definitely interested in this panel. Would love to see Leslie Bradshaw of New Media Strategies and JESS3 on the panel...

David G. Wallace - former Mayor of Sugarland and author of One Nation Under Blog will be one of the panelist if chosen. And would also love some folks from The Sunlight Foundation to participate.
