Hi everyone! Session organizer here. I have a little more detail about this session for you. Questions to be answered: What do online publications require that most Web sites don’t have to worry about? What kind of budget do you need to publish effectively on the Web? What are the best publishing tools for a non-technical production team? How can you provide effective search tools for news archives? Tags vs. categories: What are the benefits and downsides using each to organize your site? What do you do when the publication wants to exceed the flexibility of the templates? What methods best allow a publisher to handle breaking news? How important really is “Web 2.0” for online publishers? Pagination: Is splitting a story into multiple pages a good idea? Is user-submitted content worth the trouble?

The two people presenting are Susannah Gardner and Travis Smith, the owners of Hop Studios, and Web design company that specializes in create Web outlets for online publishers, from blogs to newspaper sites. We love news and newspapers and wish that they didn't suck so much online!
