In this panel we will discuss just how much weight "digital urbanites" carry online across various social networking platforms and how this type of influence can change where, how, and why people interact socially online. When we speak about Urbanities we speak more to the urban cultural experience which may include race and/or other cultural experiences associated with the term Urban; it is certainly not limited to those examples :). You can expect to hear from a wide range of voices on this panel as well.

The urban community has been right on track with the growth of web 2.0 When people talk about the growth of social media they tend to leave out the urban sites that have been connecting their communities for years. I would definitely like to sit in on this discussion.

The company gets access to capital that the existing financial markets won’t provide. The customer/lender potentially gets a return he can’t get from a bank right now (while taking a bigger risk of course). At the same time the loan supports a product that the lender himself wants to buy. The marketing opportunities here — chances to authentically connect with customers — are tremendous.
