Description:
Porn stars use online video to manage their 'business' reputation, sell their goods, get fans and get subscribers. While you might not be a porn star, you can learn a lot from them about how to use online video to rock your marketing and get real results, and this all-girl panel will show you all of it.
Questions
Answered:
  1. Buzz is crap without tried and true, real-life applications – we'll show *exactly* how real people are using video to market themselves, drive leads, sell their stuff, and get more web traffic.
  2. Having watched way too many panels that talk theory without actual numbers and examples, we will talk about what producing, editing and distributing video actually costs with a specific, live campaign.
  3. The SXSWi crowd is diverse, but there's video use for everyone. We will look at each of the ways that web video can improve what people are already doing – from getting more exposure online to getting more leads, to getting viewers to act - we cover it.
  4. What about this video marketing stuff in action? We will take a look at live, online examples of how Austinites, artists, businesses, freelancers, weblebs and more are using video right now to do what they already do, but better.
  5. What's the future of online video? How will video search technology be changing, and how can we use that advance information to make sure we stay ahead of the tech curve? How will the way we consume video change?
  6. Automation is effective, so how can we improve the creation and distribution process? We take a look at fantastic tools that make video marketing accessible to everyone.
  7. If content is king, what should be in my marketing videos? Does it need to be the CEO talking? Or customers using our products,? Or the customer service team at work? Or should we be running contests for our customers to submit videos?
  8. How does video integrate into an existing marketing plan? Can you add it in without disrupting the work that's been done already? What are the considerations here?
  9. How do you measure and report results from the campaign? Which metrics matter and how can you measure value? How do you know that your video marketing is cost effective?
  10. In which marketing channels can you use video? Is it strictly for use on your website? Can it be used in email? Can it be used in a retail store? What are the benefits of each channel?

Hey panel pickers!

Kate Morris here, one of the panelists. You can read more about me at LonghornKate.com, but the short and sweet is that I've been in internet marketing for over 5 years playing in everything from development to PPC to SEO. If it's online and might bring my clients more interest and traffic, I'm there. Now it's time to pass on some of that knowledge in an exciting way.

This is going to be not only an insanely informative panel, but also so much fun to attend. Sorry guys, no real p*rn stars or strippers, but rather some very beautiful and talented online marketers talking about a developing way to market your business online. We hope to see you in March!

Hey SXSWers! This is Laura - another panelist with Kate and Nadia. We had less than 60 words to describe a topic that deserves far more lip service, so here is some more information:

Video is something that most people want to use, and most people believe they should use, but then when they grab a camera, they have NO idea what do it. We want to show the SXSWi crowd EXACTLY how you can use video to:

- Create a rock-solid personal brand
- Extend your business branding
- Sell your stuff
- Get freelance/consulting work
- Create more content
- Get more traffic, more leads

We will not only show you LIVE, proven examples of video used in all of these ways, but we'll show you the tools you need to start. This isn't a hypothetical discussion about how good video *could* be - we'll show you REAL results and methods.

You will leave this session brimming with ideas for ways to use video in your business and personal life. So prepare to laugh and be inspired, but you have to vote to see this panel in the lineup, so click those 5 stars at the top of the page! :)

Please post questions, comments and ideas!

Video is the new frontier and the search engines really don't know what to do with it yet. We have to learn how to feed it to them in a manner they can digest. I'd definitely attend this panel.

Looks fascinating and of course the visual presentation will no doubt be stimulating (sorry - it had to be said).

Fun subject matter aside, this topic will provide some nice cross over bewteen promotion of individuals, small companies, and even large companies, especially ones that have evangelists to drive recognition.
