Shared data standards, open source, Creative Commons, and portability seem like lofty ideals, but how practical are they - especially for the typical nonprofit with little or no technology budget? We will hear nonprofit and geek perspectives on how these tools can help (or hinder) the good work of nonprofit organizations.

I'd love to see this panel happen. This is a focus for some of the featured projects at the Netsquared conference this year, including squarepegged.org (where I work), and Socialactions.com. Would be great to have people talking about this at SXSW.

Thanks, Iasaac. It's a unique opportunity to get the data geeks and the nonprofits geeks together and figure out how to make it work better.
