Description:
Kids love online games and virtual worlds, but they're not so hot on school and homework. What opportunities are being created to marry the two commercially and transform the way our children are educated?

Here are the 10 questions that my panel will try to address:

*What properties are out there for kids between the ages of 7-12?
*How commercially successful have they been?
*How educational are they?
*What are the educational partnership opportunities online and offline for kids of this age?
*Is this a new potential boom area for the web?
*How can games companies make education and learning cool?
*What are the potential pitfalls?
*How can games companies get parent on board?
*Where are the marketing opportunities for such properties?
*How can educational gaming sites be monetised?

This definitely sounds like a timely topic to have at the next SXSW. There's a huge opportunity to develop sites and interactive ways to reach this age group. The points outline in this proposed panel appear to address these issues head on. I'd definitely attend.

Why don’t people concentrate more on fighting for love as appose to fighting for supremacy?
I live in very nice middle-class community. Rent is definitely not cheep and I work very hard every month to make ends meet! So, I live in a bigger city. Has the world just totally gone mad? Three weeks ago I had a Mexican gang war that broke out in my neighborhood. The fight was so bad that residential houses had blood stains strewn across the sides of the buildings. The gang’s that were fighting each other use swords, frying pans, baseball bats, and just about anything they could get their hands on! It was scary...!!1thanks..

simple people r stupid n as my mother would say they have no problem shitting where they eat. in other words they stopped carring about themselves so they in turn cannot care about others.the world has changed there r no morals, no commitment 2 making things better so what can u expect....I would love 2 go back 2 the days where if u did something wrong u where corrected immediately by everyone around u n u learned really fast not 2 do it again...boy

This is a great idea to make the children learn through gaming. It is of much importance as it consist of playing as well as teaching also. This kind of ideas are now frequently used by most top schools in the country. I appreciate it. Keep it up........
Yes I do agree with the topic . I believe that the mind of the kids are quick catching. But teaching in a manner that it looks like playing makes it interesting and easy to grasp. I suggest to the parents of today to try this idea.
Thank You

Educating kids through playing or gaming is a better concept to make them study. I
