Description:
Agile development likes to move fast. Sometimes design and IA seem to move s-o s-l-o-w. With experts from each camp, we'll discuss how user experience and design fit with agile development, when they need time apart, and how to organize cross-functional, agile teams that deliver outstanding products.

Sounds good, will their be some case study examination as well?

Darren, sorry for responding so late. We'll definitely have some case studies and real world experiences to share. In addition to myself (an IA), the panel also includes Leisa Reichelt, the incomparable agile UX maven (http://www.disambiguity.com/). She has lots of stories, and we'll also hear from Matt Zelesko, VP of Engineering at Comcast Interactive Media, and Dan Harrelson, a Sr. Technologist at Adaptive Path (http://danharrelson.com/). The three takeaways we'd like people to communicate are a. How to better integrate user-centered design into agile teams b. How user experience and design change in the context of a development sprint c. How to make sure you don't lose the product vision in either the daily scrum or the dreaded backlog We'll be soliciting questions prior to SXSW to make sure we answer everyone's questions.
