| Description | "Personal data is the gold rush of our time." -- Congresswoman Mary Bono Are there companies that are innovating around personal data privacy? Which business models are making money AND helping consumers manage their data and privacy? This panel will investigate who is innovating around personal data privacy, what they are doing, and how successful they are. If you are a consumer, an entrepreneur, an investor, or simply interested in the future of personal data privacy and innovation, this is the panel for you. MORE > There are many companies making huge money from our personal data. Big data brokers have been doing it for decades. After the summer of privacy Facebook "scandal" in 2010, where millions of members said that they were going to delete their facebook accounts, Facebook added millions more members. Facebook now has 750 million accounts. After headlines that Apple's iPhone was tracking you without you knowing in 2011, iPhone and iPad sales have hit staggering levels. |
