This will be a rockin' panel--well, I'm biased as I'll be one of the panelists. Cliff Atkinson literally wrote the book on dynamic presentations. (Beyond Bullet Points is the best selling book on PowerPoint). Also joining us would be attorney Craig Ball, who is pretty much THE go to guy for presenting difficult information in the courtroom...for instance, he was a lead consultant to the plaintiffs on the Enron case. I've met both of them at conferences where they were the keynotes, so I'm thrilled to be presenting alongside them. Their presentations are engaging, and I hope we can communicate how to use a little bit of psychology, neuroscience, and other research to help you to present in a way that's both compelling and vivid. Can't wait for this!

UPDATE: KATHY SIERRA (author of O'Reilly's Head First series, the Creating Passionate Users blog, and regular keynote at conferences like SXSW) has joined our panel! Not only is she a phenomenal presenter, but she likely has the most experience in the scientific side of all this. That makes for having 3 of the most talented, dynamic, and brilliant presenters on one panel. I'm going to learn a lot--please vote for us!

Wow- what a useful and important panel! Sure, most of us know the importance of giving effective, memorable and engaging presentations, yet very few of us know *how* to do it. As an MBA candidate, I have found it disappointing that the art of presentation starts and ends at power point, and would very much appreciate any opportunity to learn new and innovative techniques.

I'm already drooling over this session...what a powerhouse panel, Cliff Atkinson, Kathy Sierra, Jared Goralnick, Craig Ball...that is a dream team. I predict this will be one of the most valuable and memorable panels at SXSWi2009.
